The Logitech G933 wireless gaming headset is an impressive pair of wireless headphones that delivers high-quality sound without compromise. The quality of the build materials is stellar and at no point have I regret my purchase. I have been using this pair of headphones for a few years now and they have seriously impressed me! The Logitech G933 is a great deal at its price point and an absolute steal whenever it hits a sale. I would recommend picking up the G933 on sale, but you should not feel intimidated by its cost, as the performance it offers easily justifies the price point.

Aesthetics

Logitech G933 headset aesthetics

The Logitech G933 has a nice black sleek modern aesthetic, with customizable RGB on the side of the ears. I found that the black color scheme looks very nice and matches almost all setups. Not to mention that the RGB lights on each of the ears are customizable using the Logitech G software. They also have a nice swivel above the earpieces that allow for them to rest nicely while around your neck. The G933’s can also be displayed nicely on a desk on their side or using a headset stand.

Performance

Beyond the aesthetics, we must discuss performance, as its easily the most important part of a pair of headphones. Considering the G933, it performs quite well in 2021 compared to other wireless headphone counterparts. The sound quality of the Logitech G933 is astonishing for a wireless pair when not using the virtualized surround sound.

Logitech G933 Sound Quality

The Logitech G933 supports 7.1-channel Dolby / DTS surround sound, with each channel being individually customizable using the Logitech G Software. You must adjust your audio settings when you first connect your Logitech G933 headset as out of the box they may sound distorted. The 7.1 surround-sound is virtualized which means it attempts to create a virtual surround-sound speaker setup in your headset.

The sound options aside from the artificial 7.1 surround sound, however, are superb. The overall audio quality with the Logitech G933 is very impressive and supports a great range of sounds. The bass levels are great, and you can even crank the G933’s to full volume, then set them on your desk for a speaker-like experience.

Many video games, specifically FPS games require that the player listen carefully to a range of discernable sounds. If a player does not have a good pair of headphones, it is very easy to mistake where a sound is coming from. Using the Logitech G933’s I have yet to have any issues not being able to locate where a sound is coming from.

Microphone

Inclusion of a microphone is often something that gamers are looking for when searching for a new headset. Luckily, the Logitech G933 comes equipped with a retractable microphone. The microphone serves well with the headset and accomplishes the task of being able to communicate with your voice. The mic is easy to set up and os

Logitech G933 Wireless Connection

The Logitech G933 uses a USB receiver dongle for wireless connection. Unfortunately, the Logitech G933 does not support Bluetooth. Meaning the only way to connect to your mobile device is by using the included 3.5mm cable. Mobile users typically do not want to be hindered by a cable, so this is a downside. The dongle connects easily to any device that has a USB connection. Using this USB dongle, I have yet to encounter any connection issues, and I have owned my pair for 2 years! Keep in mind this is within about a 10-meter distance as the further you get away the connection will degrade.

Physical Components

The Logitech G933 is constructed from mainly a plastic material with a foam padding on the headband and the earpieces. The external sides of the ears are easily removable thanks to a magnet that snaps them on sturdily. Within the left ear is a housing unit for the included USB dongle that is used to connect to your PC/device. The right ear contains the battery for the headset. Contained in the left ear is also the wireless headsets included microphone.

Buttons

On the left ear of the Logitech G933 Wireless Headset is a set of physical buttons. The topmost button is a power switch, followed by 3 programmable ‘G’ keys. These 3 buttons are programmable to do anything you design them to do in the included Logitech G software. Following these 3 ‘G’ keys is the bottom-most mute microphone button. And finally, the volume dial is at the bottom of the set of buttons. This volume dial is in a convenient location for quickly adjusting the volume of your game, show or music.

Comfort

These are one of the most comfortable pairs of headphones I have ever owned. The padding both on the top of the headband and on the ears are very soft and immensely comfortable. The earpads have a ton of padding, that allow for plenty of breathabilities and are even washable. The earpads were designed to ensure your ears stay cool which allows for extended gaming sessions.

Personally, I use glasses when on my computer, so it was somewhat of a difficulty finding a pair of headphones that maintain their comfortability throughout long sessions. The Logitech G933 provides a very comfortable experience, even for users who wear glasses, and they are still comfortable even after extended 8-hour sessions.

Battery life

One question to ask yourself before purchasing a pair of wireless headphones is how long are you planning on using them in one session? If the answer to this is anything less than 9 hours than the Logitech G933 is a good pair of headphones for you. For me, they have typically lasted 7-9 hours in one session from a full charge, depending on the volume used. If you are doing 8-hour sessions with headphones, expect to hear the low battery warning beep toward the end of your sessions. Ensure you are plugging in the G933’s every night or they are not going to last the full charge. Overall, other headphones offer a longer battery life, but this pair will still last you through the day.

Final Thoughts

I’ve personally been using my pair of Logitech G933’s with near-daily use for over 2 years now. And I have to say, they have exceeded my expectations! I love the black colour scheme and the RGB lights are a great feature. Not to mention the programmable buttons on the side of the ear. They have not given me any issues so far. I can comfortably recommend the G933 to anyone looking for a pair of wireless gaming headphones.

Verdict

The Logitech G933 is a great pair of wireless gaming headphones. They provide amazing sound audio quality and fit quite comfortably whether you wear glasses or not! Additionally, the Logitech G933 offers. The Logitech G933 is also a great option for VR users looking for a set of headphones, due to their wireless functionality.

Where these headphones fall short, however, is the lack of Bluetooth connectivity. This can be annoying for any user trying to attempt wireless connection without the included USB dongle. For this reason, I recommend this pair of wireless headphones specifically for people intending to use them for gaming, or PC use. The pair of headphones does, however, come with a 3.5mm cable to plug if you are trying to listen using mobile. Overall, this is a stellar pair of gaming headphones that I would recommend to any gaming enthusiast.
